Release of Kidnapped Individual in Maqneh Town – Baalbek

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 25/03/2024, an armed gang kidnapped the Syrian (M.Sh.AA.) from his residence in Younin - Baalbek, demanding a large ransom for his release. In response, an army unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the residences of the gang members in Maqneh - Baalbek. In this context, the Intelligence Directorate successfully liberated the kidnapped individual and arrested one of the kidnappers, (Y.M.), seizing a large quantity of firearms, ammunition, and military equipment.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
