Army arrests a Syrian for committing a murder, and 3 citizens on charges of drug trafficking and drug use

 The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On June 22, 2026, following a security surveillance and monitoring operation in Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahyeh Janoubieh), an army unit arrested the Syrian (A.Q.) for the murder of citizen (CH.Y.), which occurred on January 10, 2026, in the Sin El Fil - Metn.

Another army unit also raided the homes of wanted individuals in Dawra–Hermel and arrested 3 citizens on charges of drug trafficking and drug use. The unit seized quantities of Hashish, weapons, ammunition, and military equipment found in their possession.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
