Israeli aggression leads to the isolation of the area south of the Litani River after targeting and destroying the Qasimiyeh coastal bridge - Tyre

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On April 16, 2026, and in the context of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, the Qasimiyeh coastal bridge - Tyre was targeted and destroyed, with the aim of isolating the area south of the Litani River from its north. The attack also resulted in the killing of one person and the injury of two others, in addition to the injury of a soldier from the unit stationed at the bridge.

The Army Command confirms that specialized units will inspect and assess the condition of the bridge and work to rehabilitate it as soon as possible.
